Davy & Kristin McGuire | Studio Resident

Davy & Kristin are an award winning artist couple who work as joint creative directors on productions that range from music videos, animation films and installations to life theatre shows, dance performances and everything in between. This year they have received international acclaim, and their work has been seen on two TV channels in Japan and on Canal+ in France. In the UK, their work has been published in Digital Arts and Contagious Magazine and their Vimeo clips have been viewed more than 300,000 times.

Davy and Kristin’s latest productions include The Ice Book and music videos for UK based band the Guillemots and US based band Thursday.

Davy McGuire is a film, animation and theatre maker and Kristin is a dancer, choreographer and lecturer in dance who has amongst many other international companies worked as performer for Cirque du Soleil.

They live in Bristol with their dog (named Cat) and their cat (named Richard). Davy proposed to Kristin outside a kebab van.

They are currently working on an adaptation of Diana Wynne Jones’ award-winning novel Howl's Moving Castle which will premiere at Southwark Playhouse’s this Christmas in a production that fuses live performance with animation and video projection mapping.
