HP Labs is the exploratory and advanced research group for Hewlett-Packard, tackling complex challenges facing its customers during the next decade, while pushing the frontiers of fundamental science.

There are seven HP Labs facilities globally and HP Labs Bristol, one of the premier IT research centres in Europe, is the group’s second-largest location after Palo Alto, California. Since it opened in 1984, HP Labs Bristol has been a centre of excellence in a wide range of IT research.

Its  current emphasis is on dynamic cloud computing and services, IT security, information management, digital printing and publishing services, quantum science,  pervasive computing and advanced plastic display technologies.  surfaces.
