  Studio resident Tim Kindberg of matter 2 media recently launched roundness.org, a website for devotees of 'round content': media and things that are either round-framed, viewed in the round, or both.  For example, have you ever visited a camera obscura like the one in Bristol, and stood around it with others, looking at the magical image of the outside projected from above? Not only have you left the world of rectangular screens behind you to see the panorama in a perfect circle, also the image is viewed from a more social perspective: it has become a conversation piece.

  TangibleFX launch IndieGoGo campaign to develop their unique prototype, the MIDI-Moov

  Studio Residents TangibleFX need your help with crowd funding for the development of their new product, the MIDI-Moov. What is the MIDI-Moov? The MIDI-Moov is a wireless, movement sensitive MIDI-controller that you can attach anywhere on your body using a Velcro strap. It plugs into existing effects pedals that are have a MIDI input, as well as computer software such as Logic Pro, Cubase and Ableton Live. The Moov lets you manipulate any combination of effects within 1 axis of movement, of which you have 3 to choose from, namely X, Y or Z. Think of these axes as simply any movement in 3D space depending on what way up you have the device. For example, X, Y, Z movement could be analogous to up-and-down, side-to-side and front-to-back movement.
