It was lovely to sit down by the pool for a quick beer with Shelley Page of DreamWorks this evening, who is here because she is giving the keynote at NASSCOM animation and gaming summit tomorrow and also because they have been setting up a Bangalore based studio for the last five years.

Shelley is an amazing woman, I first met her when she acted as an adviser on Watershed's SE3D project and as a board member of Encounters Festival. With unfailing enthusiasm she acts as an adviser to animation projects, festivals and schools around the world and her handbag  contains shorts from the best global talent. Shelley is also very vocal on her support for team-based animation education which she believes produces far superior work than the UK model which is mostly geared towards solo productions.

It turns out Shelley is a complete Bollywood fanatic, has a huge collection of DVDs and an encyclopedic knowledge of the actors and songs. Aneesh joined in and a comprehensive overview of the Bollywood film industry was given (who's hot, who lives wear, what has been delayed etc etc).

Will report from Shelley's talk tomorrow.
